Every time i boot my computer i get a small box that says Error,

comes up a second time , click 'ok' again and boot up finishes.

I don't know why this started, it has been going on for about a week
now. i can't think of any changes i might have made that woudl cause
this.

any ideas?

Mike

Hi Mike

Which service? Start>Run - then type in "services.msc" - without the =
quotes. Make sure that the appropriate service has been started. Look =
in the 'Startup Type' column - what does it say for that particular =
service?

Have you looked at the Event Viewer? There should be several entries that
will identify the offending service.
