Images not displaying

Can anyone give me some ideas why most of the images on web pages display as
a red "X"?
An example is ebay homepage .... I get the ebay logo and the yellow vertical
stripes and the rest are red "X"'s
I am running XP Home SP2 and IE 6.

Sounds like you have some Active-X runtime script readers inadvertently
diabled in your browser?? Just to make sure, go the Java Website and downlaod
the latest Java runtime software for your computer. Just do a search for
"Java" in your web broser. Also stop by MacroMedia.com and download the
latest "Flash" Reader too. This should help you see the images and other
Active-X material on websites again.

In IE, go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Multimedia section and make sure the box “Show Pictures” is
ticked.
