Hi All,

We have a web based application for logging service tickets. Part of its
functionality is that it allows you to upload attachments to a ticket.
Other users can then download that attachment to view it.

Since SP2 has been installed on a number of users desktops they are having
issues downloading documents that contain spaces. JPEG documents are fine,
but Word documents are not.

To give you an example, if I upload a file called: Dear all.doc (note the
space) when I go to download it I get an IE error: File Download -
Security Warning "Unknown File Type" as it only sees the file as "Dear"

Any thoughts or ideas? Win2k and XP SP1 are fine, it is only since SP2 for
XP has been installed.

Cheers

I'm not sure exactly what's going on since I don't really
know about your application but it's my understanding
that spaces have never been valid in URLs, though IE has
allowed them. Perhaps they're following the spec more
closely now?
