Print Shop broken after SP2

My friend's computer is running Windows XP Pro. Before Service Pack 2 she
used Print shop frequently. After she installed SP2 it will start and hang
up and she must reboot the system to get out of it. She installed Print
Shop again after SP2 with the same results.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

She should contact the developer. This is their problem, not Microsoft's.
They may have a patch to fix it (if the software is new enough - if it's
years old then forget it!)

Hmm.. Specific application stops after SP2 is installed?
Go to the manufacturer of said program and look for patch/ask for
explanation.

If the program is really old, likely it won't work sooner or later.. Looks
like you have reached that point if you have tried compatability mode.
