Starting Word after upgrade to XP

I am having the same problem. I wasn't until I
downloaded the upgrade that MS said I must have for XP.
Of course, after I downloaded and installed...I got an
error message saying, If you own a Pavillion by Hewlett-
Packard don't install this upgrade. XP sucks!!! Hope
you have gotten your's figured out.
