I had Alcohol 120% installed on my computer prior to installing
XP SP2. After installing I've been getting errors in my event viewer

***My computer now locks up for a few seconds every few minutes
Apparently the SP2 update does not copy the atapi.sys file.
If I remove the driver for my CD-W it takes care of the problem.
However I want to be able to use my CD-W. And it will re-install on it's
own.
I haven't found a decent explanation yet how to resolve this problem.
I did remove the Alcohol 120% program. Apparently they install Scsi
drive and change the Atapi.sys file. which doesn't jive with XP SP2.
I tried deleting the Atapi.sys in Windows/System32 /Drivers.
And allowing SP2 to re-install it. That didn't change the problem.
There are however other Atapi.sys files on the computer.
I know for sure there is no hardware problem or problem with dirty discs.
I checked the hardaware on another system, and it works fine.
ANY HELP...PLEEEEEAAAASSSEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alcohol 120% is one of the hottest products in the CD-R scene! You could say
its a combination of the famous CloneCD, Daemon Tools and BlindWrite.
A complete uninstall should be done of this program in Add/Remove programs
and the Registry. You can use the "Find" feature in the Registry to do that:
Just go to Start/Run/type REGEDIT and press Enter. Reboot your PC with the
CD-Rom burner empty to clear Explorer's file cache. :~)
