No ,
You cannot revert back to windows 98. You have to
uninstall windows XP or format the drive in which windows
XP is instaled and then only you have to install windows 98
Other words , you can upgrade the operating system ,
but cannot degrade the operating syste.

Sorry, but this is *not* correct. You *can* uninstall Windows XP
(from Add/Remove Programs) and revert back to 98, if you you did
an upgrade to XP, if you selected the option to keep the old
files, and if the drive is FAT32.
