Hello,
Does anyone know if XP SP2 is compatible with a 5300c Scanner from HP?
I can not get the scanner to function.... I continually get a "Scanner Not
Found" error.

I have installed this driver for 4 years and never had a problem installing
it until now... Furthermore XP says they have the driver for the scanner but
it doesnt work either.
I even get a Generic Host Process for Win32 Services error when I try to run
the scanner; and the computer crashes complettely.

I have looked and looked on Google and cant find a solution to the
problem....

Any help would be appreciated since I am obviously to lame to figure this
out.... sheeez

I am running the 5300C scanjet with XP SP2 with no problems. I am not using
the original driver but the one released in 2002, although whether that
makes any difference I don't know.

Why the download has to be 76MByte in size I don't know.
