Can anyone tell me why when I try to install software, I
keep getting the error message (CRC error, -does not match
the file in the set up's cab file)? Cannot seem to load
any software without this error message appearing, and I
cannot complete the installation as the computer shuts
down? Please help!

CRC is a measure used to insure that the file that comes out of the
compressed file is the same as when it went in. A corrupt download often
gives CRC errors. Solution: Delete the downloaded file and download a new
copy.
If you are loading software from a CD and getting the CRC error, there
could be a problem with the CDrom drive or the RAM on the system. There is
chance that cleaning the CD and the CDrom drive *might* help.
