I guess you will have different IP settings (no DHCP at
home) so you can use the IP alternate settings on the
laptop which will be used when no DHCP server can be
found. Once connected via IP you will be able to access
resources on your home PC (via username/password
passing). You could create a script based around
net use * \\<machine>\share /user:<username> <password>
