Open Files showing up behind desktop

Hello~
My father has XP and has a problem with his desktop. He
doesn't know how he did it, but somehow now on the right
of the screen he can see the background of another one of
his files, as if it is behind the desktop. He has tried
stretching the desktop over but it only goes so far. Does
anyone have any suggestions?

Frannie,
He can round up errant windows back to the desktop by right clicking on
the taskbar and choosing "Cascade" or one of the "Tile.." choices.

Also, have him :
-- check Display> Settings to be sure he doesn't have an extended
desktop enabled accidentally.

-- if necessary, adjust the monitor's display boundaries with the
controls builtin to the monitor
