how to enable history?

Greetings Cw,

To turn on the Message History, open up the main Messenger window, click the Tools menu, then
Options, click the Messages tab, and make sure that "Automatically keep a history of my
conversations" is checked. Then to view someone's history, in any conversation window, click
the File menu, and choose Open Message History.

Its strange, but this checkbox is disabled (grey, you can't click on
it).
