SP2 Update - My Computer

Win XP SP2 Installed
After double clicking on MY COMPUTER, it appears the OS begins to process
the request but hangs up before opening MY COMPUTER and cannot open anything
else (double click or right click). No applications showing in TASK MANAGER
and the CPU usage is 0%. Have to use the computer power button to shutdown.
Able to reboot in SAFE Mode and restore / uninstall SP2.

Any ideas?

To repair all system files, go to Start/Run, and type:

SFC /SCANNOW
