Yesterday I upgraded my OS from Win 98SE to XP Pro. I
found that a few programs had seized to work after the
upgrade, 2 of which were norton antivirus 2003 and norton
internet security 2003.

I chose "uninstall" on both of the programs (since they
werent working and I thought id install them again using
my CD), and some error came up telling me that the
uninstallation could not be completed. Out of
frustration, i manually deleted all the Norton files I
chould find, and popped in the Norton CD to install the 2
programs again. When I clicked install, a message
appeared saying that it will not install NAV and NIS
because the previous vesrions are still located on your
computer (but I already deleted all the files).

Does anyone here know how to remove the remainder of
these files so I can install my antivirus and internet
security again? Your help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you for your help in advance,

Bill Michelson

Bill,

A visit to www.symantec.com and searching their site is the best solution.
Norton has specific information regarding complete removal of their
software.
