View Full Version : automatic sign in

I'm using a shared computer at work, and while surfing
and chatting I set up a new msn passport/messenger name.
Now, the computer automatically signs me in without
asking for my password, and this cannot be happening! I
have followed every help advise I could find, but it
still is doing it. I want to stop it, or alternatively,
just delete the passport/messenger, everything. I did go
into hotmail as directed and deactivated the name there,
but it is still happening in messenger.

HELP PLEASE

Please note that the above email address is not the one I
am trying to get rid of

Greetings Alf,

To remove your saved Passport information in Windows XP so that Messenger cannot
automatically logon, click the Start Button, then click the Control Panel. Then, click User
Accounts in the Control Panel. Select your account name, and then on the left side of the
screen, under Related Tasks, click 'Manage my Network Passwords'. In the window that opens,
click the Passport.Net\* (Passport) entry and click 'Remove'.
