I have used a Gateway configuration tool,since I
have a Gateway, and it ,as well as my windowsupdate
page do not recognize the fact that I have SP2 downloaded.
Which I did per disk from microsoft.
In safe mode it says I do have it,but I can not put my
update on automatic,or it will download SP2 again,I think.
It's a bit confusing,but what can I do ? How do I remidy
this situation,microsoft is no help,they think it's a Gateway
problem.

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately
responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. Know what you are
getting into before you jump in with both feet.
