xp home edition stuck in reboot loop after sp2 install

I have a brand new EMachines PC with AMD Anthlon chip and 512mb of memory. It
came with XP home edition and couple of days ago I did auto update and
installed SP2. Since then the PC is stuck in reboot. Can't even get into safe
mode or last good config. I need help how to fix this.
