I've just installed Messenger 5.0 and when I try to open
email I get my outlook (home account) rather than my
hotmail one.
In MSN messenger this works fine
How do I configure Windows Messenger 5.0 to point to my
hotmail inbox and not my local machine inbox
My messenger is logged in with my hotmail account.

Greetings Neil,
As Cody has mentioned to you, the built-in MSN Hotmail feature has moved to MSN Messenger 6
(or you can go back to Windows Messenger 4.7).
Although you won't see the alerts (toast windows) which notify you of new e-mail, you can
simply change your default mail handler in Windows to Hotmail, which then Windows Messenger 5
will use. To do so, open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then Options, then
Programs tab, then under E-mail choose "Hotmail" and click OK.
Or you can go back to Windows Messenger 4.7,by clicking Start, then Run, type (or copy/paste)
the following:
msiexec.exe /x {ABEB838C-A1A7-4C5D-B7E1-8B4314B10138}
and then click OK.
Then, you can reinstall Windows Messenger 4.7 from here:
