windows xp sp2 - trouble with modem disconnecting

a few weeks ago I updated with the sp-2 package on my XP home version. Since
that time I have trouble with my modem randomly disconnecting while I am on
line. SP2 was the only change I made in my system or my house phone wiring.

Check for the latest update for your modem.
