SP2 looses ability to find net

After Applying the SP2 update, whenever my machine sits for a while, no
applications can find the internet again. Only solution so far has been to
reboot the machine, then all is well again.

Have you tried control panel/network connections/whatever device you are
using/repair ?????

Make sure that you've unchecked the option to allow Windows power
management to turn off the network device (NIC or modem). Do this from
the device's Properties in Device Manager.
