How can i Re-Install Windows Messenger

i used to have windows messenger, and i uninstalled in
completely, because i was going to screw around with the
messenger. i made a backup copy on a cd, but now when
iput that cd into the drive, it doesnt want to load
windows messenger..why not? and how do i fix?

Unfortunately with completely uninstalling Windows Messenger, you can't just copy back the
Messenger folder and have it operate. To fix this, simply download and install Windows
Messenger 4.7 (most likely what you had before) from here:

or if you prefer, you can use Windows Messenger 5:
