problem with ricoh mp9060A after installing sp2

please help.

after installing sp2, my ricoh cd writer/dvd does not work any more.

bios and device manager still recognise the drive. but ms explorer
keeps asking me to insert a disc in it when there is one.

i have dma enabled and reinstalled its firmware.

What software do you use to write CDs/DVDs? It could be that you may need
to upgrade that software and it may fix this.

i have installed the latest oem nero but the cdrom still doesn't work.
any other suggestion? ta

i am experiecing similar problems with my drive perhaps it is a SP2 issue?
Was it ok before instillation of the service pack ?
