Yahoo Webcam hang up after updating Windows XP

After I updated Windows XP from microsoft, every time
I "Start My Webcam" in Yahoo Messenger, the Yahoo
messenger hang up. I had to turn off the computer and turn
on again to reset
System: P4 2.4GHz
Anyone has the same experience PLEASE help!

Greetings T,

You might be able to solve this by forcing Yahoo Messenger to use the VideoforWindows
standard as its default. To do so, close Yahoo Messenger (right-click it's icon in the
notification area/system tray and choose Exit), then download and run this .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/yahoo_vfw.reg

After running/importing, start Yahoo Messenger again (from the Start menu), and see if it
works.
