Get a MAC!!! I did...now that it has been running for 34 DAYS, continuously...

I'll rebuild the Sony Vaio with Windows 98 Second Edition this coming week.

Will use it for casual Internet surfing...

But the heavy Production Work will be done on the MAC!

NEVER AGAIN!!!.......besides, the Malware writers seem to have lost interest in
anything FAT 32!!

Get a Sun!!! We built and delivered a system that tested Fibre Channel
modules as fast as it could go, 24 hours a day 365 days a year, one
every three minutes.

Several years after we delivered it to the customer we got a call.
We were shocked and worried that they had found a problem with our work.

Nope, nobody still worked there who was there when we installed it or
who had ever seen the system boot or the software started. They
realized that if the power ever failed nobody was sure what to do to
and they wanted us to send someone down to show them what was necessary
to cold start the system.

Quality software and hardware is possible, you've just never seen it.

A PC with Fedora is cheaper surely. Even universities are dumping their
SUNs.
