My e-mail status was originally showing one e-mail
account, then I installed MSN Messenger 6 and it shows
the e-mail status for that e-mail account. I have since
deleted that e-mail (.net) account and installed the
original one for sign-in in MSN Messenger, but the
welcome screen still shows the e-mail account status for
the first e-mail (.net) account. How do I get this
changed?

Greetings Mark,
The easiest way to fix this is to just edit the number in the registry. To do so, click
Start, then click Run and enter "regedit.exe" and click OK. Then navigate (it's like Windows
Explorer) to My
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Wind ows\CurrentVersion\UnreadM
Where is the passport. Double-click the MessageCount and enter 0 as
the value (this will set back to none). Then click OK, close the registry editor, and sign
into MSN Mesenger 6. The welcome screen should now display it properly.
