email/spellcheck

i just had a new computer built and it has windows xp.
for the email is has outlook express.
how do i activate the spell check on the toolbar.
the icon is there but i cannot open it.
also if i go to Tools the spelling andd grammar line is
shadowed gray and unaccessable

In order to use spell-check within Outlook Express, you need to have a copy of Microsoft
Office installed.
