Windows Xp SP2 OLE, RPC, COM+ Problems

Hi,

after installing XP SP2 (windows Update) we get on some computers in our
domain following Event IDs

That computers are unable to insert OLE objects (MSI Error 1601), RPC
(Remote Registry for example Error connecting to registry on ....), or
install MSI Packages (Windows Installer in safe Modus).



following tasks I've already tried:

1. I reinstalled COM+ following the steps in kb 315296. But these
Problems still exist.

2. performing an in-place upgrade of windows xp: after the second reboot
come the same problems.

I've tried to search more for help. But I havent got luck.

Any additional help would be appreciated.

I am also getting a very similar warning message within a very short time
after windows XP Pro SP2 boots...
it says
The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal
processing. HRESULT was 8007041F from line 44 of
d:\qxp_slp\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemo bj.cpp. Please contact
Microsoft Product Support Services to report this error.

Unfortunately the support Center do not have anyhting about this problem.
Anyone got any ideas?......it doesn't appear to cause any problems in the
everyday running of the PC.

And here's another that appears only occasionally

The COM+ Event System failed to create an instance of the subscriber
partition:{41E90F3E-56C1-4633-81C3-6E8BAC8BDD70}!new:{D3938AB0-5B9D-11D1-8DD2-00AA004ABD5E}. CoGetObject returned HRESULT 8007041F.
