messenger 6.0 v 4.7

I downloaded 6.0 last night and installed on my account.
today when I booted my system 4.7 was running not 6.0
also on the other accounts on my system 4.7 is still
running? help please.

Open 4.7 first and go to Tools/Options/General and chech and uncheck some
obvious things, then open 6.0 and do the the same.

Greetings JD,

MSN Messenger 6 is not an upgrade to Windows Messenger 4.7 (hence the different names).
You'll need to disable Windows Messenger 4.7 from loading and just use MSN Messenger 6. To
do so, open up the main Windows Messenger window, click Tools, Options, Preferences tab and
unchecking 'Run this program when Windows starts'. You'll need to do this on every account.

You can then start MSN Messenger 6 by clicking Start, then All Programs, then MSN Messenger 6
if it isn't already started.
