I've tried both methods to upgrade to SP2: SP2 cd and through Windows Update.
I get the same error each time: "System cannot find the path specified"
This always occurs on mid-install.
I've searched everywhere and have found NOTHING that is helpful. So I beg
of you...PLEASE HELP!

Hi
The following articles are very useful for SP2 pre-installation:
"Introduction to Windows XP Service Pack 2" - by Barb Bowman
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/security/expert/bowman_introtosp2.mspx
"What to Know Before You Download and Install Windows XP Service Pack 2"
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/sp2_whattoknow.mspx
If need be the SP2 file can be used to create a slipstreamed CD, which in
turn can be used to 'Clean' install XP SP2:
