Safe Mode

How do I restart my computer on safe mode, and once there how I select the
program i need to correct or work with ? I pressed F8 key but nothing happens.

Hi,

when the computer is starting up, just keep pressing F8, especially when the
XP screen shows up, then you should get a DOS type screen asking what type
of startup you want.

Hi Jack,

How to start in Safe mode:

Once there, you should still be able to access the program the same way you
do now. How you fix it depends greatly on what is wrong with it.

Close but wrong. If the XP screen is showing it is WAAAAYYYY to late
to select Safe Mode. If you do see the XP screen, you'll have to shut
down and restart, hitting the F8 key over and over until the option
for safe mode appears.
