SP2 constant rebooting

I've tried installing SP2 twice to no avail. It installs as far as the
Windows black menu page and then it constantly reboots. I am running
norton's suite of utilities including "go back" but not ghost. Is this part
of the problem? I am reluctant to uninstall Go Back because it has already
saved me from a bad install of SP2 twice.
