MSN 6 display icon

i recently upgraded from MSN Messenger 4.6 to MSN
Messenger 6.0, i gave myself a display picture. However,
my display picture is reset everytime i close the program
and restart it. Is there any way i can get the picture to
stick? Cheers,

Greetings Christian,

Firstly, open up the main Messenger window, click the Tools menu, then Options, click the
Privacy tab, and then uncheck 'This is a shared computer so don't store my address book on
it' and click OK.

If this option wasn't on, or this doesn't solve the problem, are you using Messenger Plus?
If so, If so, close MSN Messenger (right-click its icon in the notification area/system tray
and choose Exit), then do the following--

click Start, then Run, type "taskmgr" and click OK. Then click the
Processes tab, click 'MsgPlus.exe' and then click End Process.

Then, restart MSN Messenger 6 (from the Start menu), choose the display picture you prefer
etc. and then close Messenger (right-click, exit) again.

You can then restart Messenger Plus by either rebooting or starting it manually from the
'Messenger Plus!' folder in Program Files and the settings you chose should "stick".

The best way is to delete all the others then it will force yours on all
times..... I can this would be a new misshap of messenger.... prob trying to
divert from the audio video probs... lol
