Dear Jonathan,
For some reasons, some services are missing in the Services. I found that
their registry entries were missing and I've managed to restore them. I have
posted several threads on other newsgroups but nobody helped. This is not
Windows Messenger or MSN Messenger related, but if you're using Windows XP,
please please help me out.
I have restored the services in the Services list, but they wont run because
they're missing the executable paths. Could you please please please tell me
the default "ImagePath" registry entries for the listed Services ?
Alerter
Computer Browser
Messenger
Net Logon
NT LM Security Service Provicer
RPC Locator
Server
Workstation
These entries are located at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\ , I just need to know
the ImagePath entry. Thank you very very much.

Dear Jonathan,
Thank you very much for the help. I'm still having problem starting the
services. But I'm very very very grateful for your help. I'll look up my
friend's XP machine and import settings from there. I guess some reg
settings must have changed or missing. Thank you very much and have a nice
day.

Hi Sum,
If you just extract the whole Services key, should give you everything you need.
