I have a very small home network at home (2 computers),
but I would like to use Windows Messenger as a way of
communicating between them computers. Is there a way
configure Messenger to do so?

Greetings Rick,
You can't have Messenger just operate "internally" (without an Exchange IM server, or a
SIP-based Communications Service like Office Live Communications Server). In order to
communicate between the two computers, they'd both need passport accounts
(http://register.passport.net) and be signed into the .NET Messenger network (aka, will need
internet access). This is what I do personally between the PCs.
However, if you don't want to do this, you can always use something like LanTalk that will
just send messages from one PC to another (no Internet access required):
