View Full Version : Need Java Machine

Their are several programs that I am trying to run that
give me the error message: "You must first install Java
Machine", when I click OK it redirects me to Windows
update where I can only find a Windows Virtual Machine
update. I realize that the original Virtual Machine had
it's problems, but what do I use now in lieu of it? Or
is their somewhere that I can still download it (either
with the patch or install the patch afterwards...)? I
found a few places online, but they did not look
trustworthy and I have also searched Microsoft.com and
the KB. Please help if you can, thanks!

Microsoft, because of a court decision, can no longer provide a Java Virtual
Machine. They DO provide an update to an existing Windows Virtual
Machine(Java) until some time in 2004. After this, they will no longer
provide it anywhere. You may want to use Sun's Java Virtual Machine
