Headphones problems

Hi,

I've been trying to listen CDs, DVDs, and start voice
connection in messenger trough the headphones set and it
has not been possible, the speakers should be enable as
soon as I plug in the headphones, and it does not happen,
the speakers keeps working, could somebody help me with
this. The microphone does not work neither in messenger.

Hi Daniel,
You say that you hear sound from your speakers, this suggest the
playback is operating normally. When you plug your head-set into the
appropriate socket the speakers should be disabled but are not. This
suggest that there is a problem with either this headset input socket
(very likely as the speakers are not disabled) and/or the headset plug
is faulty. Try your headset on a friends computer and/or try a
friends headset on your computer. This should help you to identify
where the problem lies.
