I had the same message, however, I don't use Messenger so
I did't want to upgrade, plus I found the constant barage
of popup/malicious email very annoying. I posted a
question or 2 about it, tried every single thing that was
suggested, including "shoot the Messenger, tweaking the
Regedit, etc...Nothing worked, EXCEPT AlarmZone, which I
downloaded for free. I would suggest uninstalling
Messenger 4.7.or whatever the version, then downloading
AlarmZone, then you can stop messenger from
loading/sending popup's and email.
