help msn messenger 6

hi just downloaded msn messenger 6 on my pc
im running xp but every time i start messenger it comes up the old one 4.7
how do i get the version 6 i downloaded

anyone help please

Greetings Gorf,

MSN Messenger 6 does not replace Windows Messenger, however you can start MSN Messenger 6 by
clicking Start, then All Programs, then choose MSN Messenger 6. You'll probably also want to
disable Windows Messenger (4.7), you can do so by double-clicking its icon in the
notification area/system tray (by the clock), clicking the Tools menu, then Options, then
Preferences tab, uncheck 'Run this program when Windows starts' and click OK.
