No Audio
December 11th 03, 01:50 PM
I've been following the "no audio" posts closely ever
since the launch of MSN Messenger 6.0. As I have been
suffering the same issue (in silence!) with my dell/XP
Home + cable internet.
Specifically I have been able to audio chat XP (cable) to
XP (dial-up) & XP (MSN 5.0/Cable) both ways without a
problem. Windows messenger, obviously XP to XP, works
without an issue.
The only problem seems to be my XP (Cable) to ME(dial-up)
& 98 (dial-up) online contacts where the audio invites
fail with the usual 'unable to connect..' message. I have
not had any of the one-sided audio issues that some have
reported.
Does anyone know if the IntelNIC reg. fix that Jonathan
Kay has issued is recommended for a none one-sided audio
issue.
I've also tried the usual Qos, Router settings & total by-
pass, audio tuning, intel driver updates, etc.
Thanks
Charlie
