View Full Version : WM 5.0: minimize problem and going back to 4.7?

Hello,
I updated 4.7 to 5.0. When I clicked on the "red X" in 4.7, the Messenger
window got closed, but the Messenger still stayed in the Systray (which
makes sense).
Now in 5.0, when I do the same, WM shuts down @_@
When clicking on the "-", I have a minimized window in the task bar, which
is not what I want. How can I have the same effect as in 4.7?

If this is not possible: can I (how?) uninstall 5.0 and will I then
automagically have 4.7?

Thanks

just noticed that I can close the window in the task bar by right clicking
with the mouse and then clicking on "close window". But that's not exactly
what I want to do every time...

thanks.

Greetings Klaus,

If you open up the main Windows Messenger window, click the Tools menu, then Options, then
Preferences tab, verify that 'Allow Windows Messenger to run in the background' is checked
and click OK should restore this functionality.
