View Full Version : Duplicate Firewalls under XPSP2

Hi

I have just installed WindowsXP Service Pack 2 and, after a lot of help from
Microsoft, have now got it running OK. Can anyone tell me what are the pros
and cons of running the Windows Firewall at the same time as a proprietary
firewall (in my case Norton Internet Security).

XP's firewall monitors inbound traffic only. You need a specialised =
third-party firewall to manage the outgoing traffic, especially these =
