A new glitch, great......
Everytime I reboot Windows loses its "classic" appearance settings and
reverts back to XP style blue task bar and bright blue menu bars , bright
green start button, etc.

cannot seem to find which setting may be able to keep this from happening
again

Any advice is appreciated.

thanks in advance,
Ray

Dont know if this may help but its always the simple things that get us in
this business....Are you making sure you hit apply after you change your
desktop settings. Just hitting the OK button on a particular tab does not do
it. The apply button saves all updates and changes to settings In XP accross
the board.

Yes you are right about that. Haven't really done anything like intall
software or anything recently and this really just popped up a couple of
days ago. I even did a sys restore back to a couple of weeks ago and that
seemed to do the trick. Then on about the 2nd or 3rd reboot the settings
were changed again.
So I am still searching for a solution.

huh? "OK" applies the change(s), then closes out the screen.
"Apply"
applies the change(s) but keeps the current settings screen
open so you
can see how you like the change and/or continue fiddling with
options.

either way, they changes should save.
