I need a skin that can disimulate well and my boss can't realize that I'm
using the messenger
any help?
Moose

Huh? Are you, by chance some Trekkie has been? That aside, I suggest you
install a dissimulator and then use it on yourself.

Greetings sdf,
I can't really think of any "skin" which let you do this, you might try using Trillian
instead (http://www.trillian.cc) as it supports far different skinning (check out the Skins
on the site).
As well, Messenger Plus (http://www.msgplus.net -- don't install the sponsor during
installation or ad-software will be on your PC) has a 'Boss Mode" which will hide all
Messenger windows, and make your Messenger icon a 'My Computer' icon when the boss comes
near.

That's much better. You are now using language and tonality that more
accurately reflects your true personality. That "dissimulated skin"
nonsense came across as a tad "high flown", though your misspelling of
"dissimulate" was the clue that you're in actuality a pretentious, crude
run-of-the-mill ng moron that works for some fascist company that instills
their worker bees with extreme paranoia, and your work priority is to find
ways to escape the detection of your sloughing off rather than doing what
you are being paid to do in your obviously monotonous job.
Now that I have truly helped you, I await your apology for insulting me mum.
Try real hard not to write another crude response lest I dismiss you
entirely as hoplessly droll. I hope I've succeeded in not buggin' you, and
you find my observations useful in your seemingly endless thirst for
meaningful knowledge.

Ur an ass moose.
It's people like you that ruin these newsgroups.
BTW, disimulate is not a star trek word :o) - Or a word at all.

I may have erroneously assumed he was misspelling "dissimulate", which is a
word, and it seemed to fit into the context of his babble. If he was making
up a word, then he's simply being incomprehensible. The Star Trek allusion
was metaphorical not literal.
dis-sim-u-late (di-simy-lat)v. dis-sim-u-lat-ed, dis-sim-u-lat-ing,
dis-sim-u-lates.v. tr. To disguise (one's intentions, for example) under a
feigned appearance. See Synonyms at disguise.
As for you, Cable Guy, if you think my scathing wit is ruining this ng, I
suggest that you check into alt.mysenseofhumorsucks.com and read a few
thousand threads in order to effect something similar to a Vulcan mind meld.
In lieu of that, try purchasing the newly released OTC self lobotomy kit at
your corner drugstore. If both of those cures fail then give up usenet and
consider belly button lint sculpting as a hobby.

I do have a sense of humour -in fact, your insults are quite clever- but
your post was pure rudeness, with no humour in it.

Somes laugh and somes don't laugh.
I meant to be rude. If it offends thee, then killfile me and go your merry
way. I'm being polite here.
You can now return to suppressing those unspeakable urges you get when your
mum is around. I'm not being polite here and in fact am flying hell bent
toward the pale. Can you spell k-i-l-l-f-i-l-e?

Abuse? Since when has the first amendment been classified as abuse? Was I
yelling fire" in the theater? No. I was posting "Cretin in the newsgroup!"
A significant difference. You are much more ignorant than I first assumed.
Well, maybe just a tad more ignorant. Okay, okay, I admit it, I assumed
from the beginning that you were really, really dumb, but I tried to heed
your advice and be polite. I guess from your point of view I failed. Sob!
When people are exposed as prattling idiots in Usenet their final act of
desperation is to yell "ABUSE!" and then send their little complaint off to
an ISP. There are so many complete jerkoffs like yourself that I expect the
internet bandwidth is more significantly impacted by your abuse e-mails than
it is by spam. At least I simply resorted to telling on you to me mum.
You're a really mean boy Cable Guy and I hate you, though I'm very sad that
you feel abused. Does this mean we ain't gonna play no more?
You have my permission to forward this post to John Ashcroft.
Moose
p.s. I just received an e-mail from easynews asking me who the little
whinyass punk was that sent them this meaningless complaint and I responded
that they should just ignore you and that I would take care of it. You can
thank me later.

PMSL. I find it hard to believe that Easynews actually sent such a message,
for one little reason; I WAS BLUFFING! I never sent an abuse report. I
just wanted to see how you would react.
Bwahahahahahahah! Now you've just proven yourself a liar.

Oh, I thought I would say that even if I had sent an abuse report I wouldn't
believe you.
Companies don't act like 2 year-olds. For the simple reason that they don't
want to risk offending a potential customer (who could tell everyone they
know about the rudeness of the company).
Think about it, for all they know I could be head of the tech department for
a large company, but then decided not to choose Easynews as the company's
ISP because they offended me. That's big $ down the crapper.
And for the simple reason that it's not good public relations to offend
people.
I know you think I'm a dumbass, but I'm not that dumb.

Please be polite.

Of course I didn't receive anything from Easynews you literal minded twit.
No one in their right mind would believe an ISP would inquire about a "whiny
ass punk". Your gullabilty is mind boggling. I give up. Flames are
utterly lost on you. See, there's an advantage to being really stupid.
You're immune from insults.
Moose
p.s. You seem very anxious for me to leave. So I will.

I love how you say something with out any sign of sarcasm or implying
anything else, and yet you think everyone should know whether or not your
being literal or not. We're not mind readers. Just because you hear voices
in your head doesn't mean you are reading other people's minds.

Ummmm..gee thanks. You have amazing insight. You're awe inspiring... no
really, you are.
Moose
p.s. I'm afraid you really are that dumb. I could tell you that MS expects
your first born child in exchange for security updates commencing the first
of Nov. and you'd go off on the unlikliness of that and then you'd point out
the illegality of such a proposition. Jeeth Stefthan, I'm only methin' with
you.
