About 4-5 months ago I had discovered a emoticon that
wasn't listed in the available emoticons when I was using
MSN Messenger 5. It's the "ASL symbol" and I sent the MSN
Messenger Technical support about this issue and they
said they forgot to add it to the list. Now, that it's
been a great while, it still is not shown with the rest
of them on this page below or anywhere that I can find.

Is there any particular reason why, or do they feel that
it is isn't as import, or it was a mistake in their
program?

Greetings Sam,

It's a "hidden" one -- meant as a sort-of "Easter egg" to the program. There are also some
other ones included in MSN Messenger 6 (which is what this page refers to). Lots of
applications have Easter egg's including but not limited to the ones on this list:
