View Full Version : SP2- Registry Error on startup

Since I installed SP2, an intriguing error comes up once in a while. It
says something like, "Your registry failed to load, Windows has
successfully restored the last good copy and this was successful,"
after my desktop finishes loading up. Seeing the error, I restarted the
machine without starting any other software and the error came up again
(since it restored the good copy, why again should it restore once
more). Curiously, on the third startup it didn't show anything...

Why is this happening? Any clues? Is anyone else facing this problem?
Best Regards,

Something is corrupting your Registry which may or may not be related
to SP2. Give System Mechanic a try for 30 days
free trial. It has an excellent Registry cleaner, repairer and
compacter. www.iolo.com

I have used System Mechanic and actually such registry fail errors
started since I used it. I think there is some bug in the programs
Registry Compacter- for often after running it Windows would fail to
start or report registry as corrupt.
I have RegSupreme Pro, but that doesn't find anything wrong?
