Unable to connect

I am writing on behalf of my mom. She recently is unable to sign into
windows messenger. It asks for her password and when she enters her password
it comes up again and asks for her password. Her hotmail account is
functioning okay and she can log onto it. It was working fine yesterday and
she was unable to log into it today. I had her try a system restore but the
same thing happens. Any ideas as to how to correct the problem?

It could be that this was just temporary, is this problem still occurring?
