Hi All,
can someone pls help me.
here is my problem, I was using MSN 6.0 on my win2k
machine. today I installed windows messenger 5.0 which
removed MSN 6.0 . OK fine, but now i cannot send text
messages to my buddies from windows messenger. I searched
in kb articles, they are saying I need to install
messenger addins. KB article says go to Tools->Addin .
They are talking about messenger 4.7 I think. I cant see
this menu item in version 5.0 at all. can someone pls tell
me is there any other way to enble sending SMS from
windows messenger 5.0 without reinstalling MSN6.0.

Thanks
Rajesh

Greetings Rajesh,

The Add-Ins are from Windows Messenger 4.x, which is not supported on Windows 2000. Windows
Messenger 5 does not have the "send a message to a mobile device" option -- this has moved
exclusively to MSN Messenger 6 and as such, if you want this functionality, you'll need to
use MSN Messenger 6 instead.
