View Full Version : Verification Process Problem

Hi,
I installed Microsoft Messenger several months ago, or maybe it installed automatically when I upgraded to Windows XP SP2. Every time I connect to the Internet, a message pops up that says I need to verify my email address. I followed the instructions but there isn't an email from Passport Member Services in my in-box. I checked my spam mailbox just in case it was automatically directed there, and also made sure that I am not blocking mail from anyone. The constant popup reminder is really annoying. I clicked on "Verify My E-mail Address" on the Messenger toolbar (File), but still haven't received a verification email. Does anyone know how to request another verification email be sent, or is there another way to resolve this issue?
Thanks,
Dan

I have EXACTLY the same problem and I figure the easiest way to solve it would be to have the verification email resent. How can we get this done?

Never mind 0 a quick search in this forum gave me the answer. Mea Culpa.
If you do use Messenger, you'll need to ask for another verification e-mail
from Passport by going to Services: http://register.passport.net/contactus.srf

Thanks for the note, Robin. That did the trick. Someone from .NET Passport customer service ended up validating my email manually since I didn't receive messages that they said they sent. It's nice to know that there's a real person out there in cyberspace to assist with these kinds of problems. Have a nice holiday!
