Anyone who can help,
I have been running Windows Messenger4.7 in XP with Netmeeting together for
some time now successfully having Windows Messenger compatibility setting
for Win2000 which allows me to invite someone to a meeting via IM.
After installing Windows Messenger 5.0 and resetting the compatibility mode
to Win2000 in order to use Netmeeting, the command does still not appear on
th "I want to....." menu in the program. There is supposedly a registry
addition which will make this choice available but the only one I found on
the internet had and invalid Registry chain. (the files after a certain
point do not exist on my computer).
Is there and Administrator setting or some other way to get the two to
function together again?
Thanks
Joe

Greetings Joe,
Unfortunately the compatibility mode method is no longer valid in Windows Messenger 5. You
will need to use the registry method. To do so, close down Windows Messenger (right-click
its icon in the notification area/system tray and click Exit), then download and run this
..reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/wm5_addnetmeeting.reg
After this, restart Windows Messenger, and you should now see 'Start Netmeeting' in Windows
Messenger.

Bless you Jonathan!,
Thank you so much!
I can't tell you how much I appreciate your input.
I installed the download and the program is functioning like a dream.... I
have been searching for two days to find a fix.
Best Regards,
Joe
