I think something went wrong when installing a 2nd printer and a switch box
on LPT1. I cannot use my printer under WinXP pro now, XP says "This document
cannot be printed now" (transl.)
I did some attempts to resolve the problem, but nothing seems to work.
1. Printers deleted (and deleted drivers to be sure) and I reinstalled only
the 1st one. No problems during installation. I noticed that XP does not
reconize the printer (P&P), it did in the past.
2. LPT1 deleted and reinstalled. Even using the disable option in bios and a
cold boot.
3. I managed to send data to the printer using an old DOS disk, so the
printer and cable and port are OK.
4. Restarted the Spool service, no result
No other error messages in the log files.
Does anyone have more suggestions?
